The young man once lost.
He knew it was because G-d said ‘no’.
Because he didn’t deserve it he didn’t get it.
He did however, ask himself;
Why did he not deserve it?
What was he missing?
What could he do better?
So he worked on it
Not to win something
But simply because losing was G-d’s message,
“Do better!”
A little this a little that.
He didn’t become a saint or something
He just showed G-d that he got the message
The time came for break.
Learning booklets were given out
Another raffle.
Learn a little bit of booklet everyday for a chance to win money.
The young man took the booklet on his adventure and did.
Not like he’d win, but it was a good thing to do right?
And so the raffle came
A hat full of names.
“I hope they put me in.” the young man said to his friends
“ach,” he continued,
It’s not like it matters. It’s all hashgacha protis,
If G-d wants me to win I will if not, not.”
He did what he did and G-d would decide the rest,
It’s part of their relationship.
The name came out…
…and he won
Thanks G-d, I knew you were watching.
